Prime Minister at the Consultation of Slovenian Diplomats

SLOVENIA, August 27 - The opening day was dedicated to discussions on the strategic directions of Slovenian foreign policy. Prime Minister Janša outlined the priorities and vision of Slovenian foreign policy, emphasising that Slovenia seeks to be a responsible member of the European Union, NATO and the international community, while remaining capable of effectively advancing its national interests. “In the coming years, Slovenia will pursue its own foreign policy, with national interests at the forefront. We certainly hold different views, but on key issues the interests of our country must come first. There should be no distinction between foreign and domestic affairs.”
